Out of State Licensure
As a member of the NC-SARA state reciprocity program, Athens State University provides the following information to all current students, applicants, or potential students regarding out-of-state professional licensure or certification requirements.
For the purpose of consumer protection, 34 CFR 668.43 as amended requires Title IV institutions to identify which of their academic programs (whether online, hybrid, or face-to-face) are designed to fulfill the educational requirements for professional licensure or certification that is a gateway for entry into a specific occupational field.
Athens State University offers a number of such programs through the College of Education. Each program is included below, with a link to provide you with information specific to your state and how the Athens State University program meets/does not meet that state’s licensing requirements.
If you have questions or need additional information, please reach out to the College of Education at 256-216-6600.
