The Livingston Concert Lecture Series is proud to announce Dr. Annette Laing as its next speaker. She will be presenting a series of academic-themed lectures September 18- September 20. Each lecture will be free and open to the public. The schedule is as follows:
- Monday, September 18 – Library Room 114
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Researching History & Self Publishing
- Tuesday, September 19 – Classroom Building Room 204
11:00 am – 12:00 noon: Engaging Students in the Classroom
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Researching History for the Academic Writer
- Wednesday, September 20 – Athens-Limestone Public Library
12:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Observe while Dr. Laing teaches homeschoolers, and then stick around for an open discussion on methods and ideas.

Dr. Annette Laing is a speaker, academic and public historian, and author of The Snipesville Chronicles, a series of middle-grades time-travel novels. She is also the creator, presenter, and advocate of Non-Boring History, a way of historical thinking geared toward children and young teens.
Born in Scotland and raised in England, Annette Laing has called the US home for many years, but she spends several weeks each year traveling and researching in the UK. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, son, and elderly dog.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
