Athens State Young Alumni Plan Costa Rican Trip for March 2017

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Young Alumni Advisory Council (YAAC) at Athens State University is offering a trip to tropical Costa Rica to students, alums, and the community scheduled for March 2017.

The nine day trip includes sight-seeing in lush forests with stunning waterfalls, rumbling volcanoes, and visiting the Costa Rican coastline. Explore part of the 20,000 acre nature preserve of Cano Negro on a riverboat adventure. Travelers will spend two nights in Monteverde’s fascinating cloud forest, experience the forest canopy on hanging bridges, and explore San Jose’s Plaza de Cultura and the National Theatre. Planned excursions include trips to experience the mineral rich waters of a hot spring with views of Arenal Volcano and two nights in Tamarindo Beach, a golf resort known for its breathtaking beauty and fine sandy beaches.

Cost for the package includes round-trip airfare from Nashville with shuttle service to and from the airport, hotel transfers, various excursions, and 13 meals. Rates start at $2,569 per person for double occupancy, if booked by September 20, 2016. An optional three night Jungle Adventure Post Tour Extension is also available.

The YAAC will host an informational presentation about the trip at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 29 in the Ballroom of the Sandridge Student Center to hear more about the Costa Rica trip and take advantage of a $50 discount.
