He will be responsible for updating and creating web content associated with HudsonAlpha’s digital education activities The Progress of Science, HG Helix and GenomeCache.

Meeks, a graphic design major enrolled in courses with Professor Pamela Keller, was selected for his knowledge of WordPress/HTML and web development experience, knowledge of photo editing software including Adobe Bridge and Adobe Photoshop and overall resume.

Meeks’ coursework takes place at the new Alabama Center for the Arts in downtown Decatur, Alabama. It has been heralded as a model for institutional cooperation in the state. The facility is a venue for college art instruction, community education and cultural events and it serves as a catalyst for the region’s creative growth and expression.

Located in Huntsville, Alabama, HudsonAlpha is inspiring and preparing society to embrace and use genomics in healthcare and agriscience. Meeks will join the other innovative thinkers who are passionate about translating the promise of genomics into real-world benefits for people and their communities on the 152-acre campus in Cummings Research Park.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
