Amy’s Attic to Give Helping Hand to Women Entering Workforce
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
The organization encourages women to dream big and take their lives and careers to the next level by providing several programs to help them prepare to enter college and/or the workforce. Each woman gets to work one-on-one with a mentor, giving her the tools she needs to succeed in a personal, caring environment. Sessions offered to help these women begin their careers include job readiness, professional etiquette, job interviewing skills, resume completion, and guidance through the job application process. College preparation courses are also offered, with mentors readily available to help women find and apply for scholarships, universities, and financial aid.
Amy’s Attic believes that hard work pays off, and they want to instill this concept in the women they help by rewarding them for their accomplishments. After a participant completes her GED or a college/job preparation session, she is rewarded with a ceremony and a coupon to enter the clothing closet to pick out a professional outfit.
At this time, Amy’s Attic is seeking donations of women’s business professional or business casual clothing, shoes, and accessories in all sizes. Monetary donations are also welcome.
